The soldier is the one deployed. But the
whole family serves

How You Can Help

Our troops deploy to honor the commitment they made to serve ourDonate Graphic country. We are committed to serve their families. What will your commitment be?

Help us give families the support and care they deserve. While all direct services from SOFAR are free of charge we have organizational and administrative costs. We need financial support to produce and distribute educational publications for teachers and pediatricians, to run workshops to train teachers to serve as first responders for the traumatized children of soldiers. We need funds to access families of Reservists who are spread out through out the country.

SOFAR is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible.

Your donations might go toward such projects as:

  • Sponsoring a workshop for teachers on children and trauma

  • Donating a set of training tapes to a new branch of SOFAR

  • Underwriting the printing and distribution of "The 'SOFAR' Guide for Helping Children and Youth Cope With the Deployment of a Parent in the Military Reserves

  • Helping underwrite administrative costs so all the volunteer time can be used in direct service

PayPal is the most widely recognized, secure and respected independent third party company specializing in processing online credit card transactions. It has well over 8 million users.
